Ms. Hutchinson's 2nd grade classroom is a room like no other. With students from all different backgrounds, all with different, amazing personalities, it is a beautiful place to be. This project focuses on the sweet, inspiring relationships between the students themselves, and their relationship with Ms. Hutchinson. With high expectations and a lot of love. Ms. Hutchinson is a dedicated, experienced teacher, who understands how to support and push her students. By seeing how Ms. Hutchinson chooses to run her classroom, you'll understand why her students are so successful, and how much work goes into being such a committed teacher. By hearing about the stories of each student, you'll be able to understand what makes this class so warm. This class, and the people that make it up, are truly inspirational.

The experience of going into this classroom every week was deeply impactful. I was fortunate enough to form real, meaningful relationships with the students. I am in awe of these amazing kids. So many of them have faced struggles adjusting to a new country at such a young age. These difficulties are more than I can even imagine, yet all of these students have such positive, bright outlooks. I was so inspired by how Ms. Hutchinson was able to lead her class. Observing how much her students love her, and how much they want to make her proud showed me how impactful she is in these kids' lives, even beyond their 2nd grade year. Her ability to show so much affection, yet set high expectations and boundaries is a gift not many people have. I feel deeply lucky that the class welcomed me so openly. Every week, I looked forward to the day I got to go into the classroom and be greeted by a swarm of hugs and questions. I am so appreciative of each student in this class who let me into their lives, and of Ms. Hutchinson who let me into her beautiful classroom.
