Walking into the mysterious walls of an elementary school might be a bit scary and unfamiliar to many, but at Lakewood Elementary, they make sure that everyone feels welcome and included. Lakewood Elementary works hard to be a culturally inclusive and diverse school that celebrates the differences among students to build bridges between cultures. Additionally, the amazing dual language program that Lakewood offers as a community school makes sure to truly nurture students from all races and ethnicities by creating a melting pot of wonderful, shared experiences and memories.

My time at Lakewood Elementary has been a wonderful experience, it provided an amazing environment that made my time there truly enjoyable. It opened my eyes to the beauty that a community school creates, opening its doors to visitors and community members to also provide them with an immersive experience. I would like to take the time to thank Ms. Castro for being an amazing teacher to work alongside and for allowing me to experience the Dual-Language program.
