My Lakewood project got me into the habit of waking up at 6:45 to capture the scene when the first bus arrived and the first glimpse of sunrise. As I pulled out my camera, my hands freezing in the cool morning air, and positioned my sleepy eyes to the viewfinder, I became infused with the refreshing energy of Lakewood mornings.
